Engr. Harold Jan R. Terano has an extensive academic experience as a researcher, professor, education and research consultant, and book author. He is a registered electronics engineer and a professional teacher in Mathematics. He finished his degrees in BS inElectronics and Communication Engineering, Master in Engineering Technology and has Completed Academic Requirements for the degree Ph.D. in Mathematics Education. He is one of the youngest full-fledged professors confirmed by the Philippine Association of State Universities and Colleges (PASUC) in 2019 at the age of 30. Currently, he is holding an academic rank of Professor 1 and likewise, the designated Director of the Center for Research and Development at Camarines Sur Polytechnic Colleges. As an author, he has already published 6 books in the international circulation.He has published numerous research in peer-reviewed journals.He also is the Editor-in-Chief of two (2) international refereed journals, namely, “Journal of Engineering and Emerging Technologies (JEET)” and “Journal of Education, Management and Development Studies (JEMDS)”. He currently serves as an international member of Editorial and Review Boards of various scientific and professional journals.He serves as a Publication Consultant of the West Visayas State University, and research evaluator in in-house reviews and conferences of various institutions and organizations. He has been awarded Best Paper in various research conferences, including, the International Conference on Innovative Education and Technology sponsored by the Rajamangala University of Technology, Thanyaburi, Thailand in 2020 and the 1st BASC Research and Development Conference sponsored by the Bulacan State Agricultural College in 2021. He was recognized as Best Teacher of the Year by the International School Awards, Dubai in 2018, and one of the Top 100 Professionals by the International Biographical Center, England in 2017. Recently, he was accorded the following awards: Outstanding Filipino Researcher, Article Citation Award and Best Oral Research Presenter Award, by the Philippine Association of Institutions for Research during the 4th Philippine Conference on Multidisciplinary Research held last December 14-16, 2021. He served as a field researcher in the study “Technological-Pedagogical-Assessment-Content Knowledge (TPACK) in Philippine STEAM Education” by PNU in 2018 and a data collection partner on the study “Impact of the COVID-19 Pandemic on Life of Higher Education Students: A Global Perspective” by the Slovenian Research Agency, Slovenia in 2020. He has engaged in conducting externally funded research and extension projects. Included are the P150,000 research on Portable Perlite Expander Machine funded by the DOST-PCIEERD, P1.2M Sustainable Anti-Poverty Project funded by CHED, and P3.4M Sustainable Livelihood Project funded by DSWD.He has a registered Utility Model and technology applications at the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines. He engaged in organizing international conferences where he served as a Member of the Advisory Committee in the RIT 16th International Conference, Roorkee Institute of Technology in 2019, Member of the Organizing Committee in the 7th International Conference on Recent Research in Science, Society, Culture-Humanities and Technology by the South Asia Management Association in 2017, and the Conference Chair in the 1st International Multidisciplinary Conference on Engineering and Technology, Education, Management and Development Studiesheld last November 26-27, 2021. He is an Honorary Member of the Asian Council of Science Editors, and an Associate Member of the Department of Science and Technology – National Research Council of the Philippines (DOST-NRCP) under Division VII – Engineering and Industrial Research.
