Dr. P. Ravikumar ispresently working as a Teaching faculty and researcher in the Department of Environmental Science, Bangalore University, Bangalore – 560056. He completed his graduation, post-graduation, and Ph.D. from Bangalore University. He has alsobeen trained at Atomic Energy Regulatory Board (AERB), BARC, Mumbai to serve as a Radiological Safety Officer (RSO) for the Gamma Irradiation Facility at Bangalore University. His field of specialization includes environmental chemistry, hydrogeochemical modeling, Toxicology, Remote sensing, GIS, and isotope hydrology. He has a total of ~17 years of research and ~6 years of teaching experience at the post-graduate level. He has published over 45 research articles in peer-reviewed national and international journals having high impact factors, having a total of 1424 citations andan h-index of 18to his name.He has been instrumental in the completion of various central and state government-sponsored research projects to the Department besides guiding PG and Ph.D. students for their dissertation and Ph.D. programs.
