Abstract:
LiDAR (Light Detection And Ranging) is a popular advanced technology used since the 1960s. LiDAR was used in many fields like agriculture, automation, archaeology, forestry, astronomy, geology, green energy, mining, law enforcement and the quantification of various atmospheric components. The chapter aims to cover principles, components, accuracy assessment, applications in agriculture and forestry and advantages of using LiDAR.
