Abstract:
In recent times, gas sensors are at the center of significant innovation in a variety of sectors, including environmental sciences and medicine. High-performance gas sensors have been created as a result of substantial advancements in sensor design, nanofabrication technology, and the utilization of newly created materials in recent years. There have been several different material gas sensors developed and researched in the past, and each form of sensor has its benefits and disadvantages in terms of sensing resolution, operating power, recovery time, and responsiveness. An overview of current developments in a variety of gas-sensing technologies is provided in this study. The sensors' working mechanisms, as well as their designs and combinations, are investigated. Finally, the potential applications of each type of sensor are discussed, as well as the prospects for future development.
