Abstract:
In recent times, “Sustainability” has been at the forefront of every discussion on any projects to be undertaken or any policy formulation. Environmental impact assessment has now been the base of each and every project. To envision a better earth for the current and future generation, Healthcare has to be at the core of the this vision. Health and healthcare systems are fundamental to achieve and maintain health and welfare of the society which ultimately drive a society towards development and growth. A sustainable healthcare system should be our prime focus now as only a healthy human being and a healthy society can aspire to grow at other dimensions of life. The healthcare systems employ a large workforce and also consume significant amount of energy. They also produces huge amounts of wastes. That’s why,we need to maintain a sustainable healthcare system that fulfills our current needs and at the same time minimizes its impact on nature, thus helps in shaping a better world for future generation.
