Abstract:
The future of radiology looks good, it’s going to make the job a lot more convenient and accurate for diagnosis. In this article we discuss the emerging trends in radiology, Artificial intelligence, Advanced Combination Imaging and Integrated 3D Imaging, which can enhance image quality, shorten the time a patient must spend in a scanner, support clinical interpretation and automatically identify complex patterns. We further discuss how simulation and virtual reality could be beneficial in medical education to help students understand better. Towards the end we also highlight the role Interventional Radiology would play in the future.
