Abstract:

Hemostasis is the process through which bleeding stops on its own. To assess the overall health of hemostatic systems, bleeding (BT) and clotting time (CT) is used. An assessment of hemostasis must precede each surgical procedure in a hospital. A BT or CT is necessary for epistaxis, hemoptysis, gastrointestinal, and variceal bleeding. On the other hand, these have a role in thrombotic risk and cardiovascular disease. As a result, the researchers in this study set out to see if there were any variations in bleeding and clotting times between young boys and girls.
