Urmila Patil, Presently a Research Scholar at Centre for Nanoscience and Nanotechnology, Amity University Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. She is Pursuing Ph.D. in Nanoscience and Nanotechnology. She is supervised by Dr. Dattatray Late for her doctoral research. She has received her Master’s Degree in Industrial Chemistry from the Punyashlok Ahilyadevi Holkar Solapur University, Solapur, Maharashtra, India. She has worked at Physical and Material Chemistry Division, CSIR-National Chemical Laboratory, Pune for 3+ years as Project Assistant-III. Other than that she has worked as visiting student at Physics Division of Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC), Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay (IITB), Institute of Chemical Technology (ICT) Mumbai and Indian Institute of Chemical Technology (IICT) Hyderabad. She has published 2 research articles in Peer-Reviewed International Journals. She Won First Prize in the Exhibition for presenting project research work in Science and Technology Exhibition on occasion of National Science Day-2013, Solapur. She has been Awarded Young Achiever Award 2021 by Institute of Scholars (InSc) Bangalore for her research work. She has been recognized as Reviewer for the Journal of Institute of Scholar (International Journal of Basic and Applied Sciences). She has been awarded Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj National Research Fellowship-2020 for financial support. She has 41 Citations on Google Scholar and her Current Research Interests are in the Areas of Two-Dimensional Nanostructure for sensing applications.
