Dr P. Rameshthangam is working as Assistant Professor in Biotechnology, DDE, Alagappa University, Tamilnadu, INDIA. He has published research articles in various International SCI Journals. His h-index is 14 and i10 index is 16. He has guided 3 Ph.D scholars and M.phil and M.Sc., Students. He has also got one Indian patent entitled “Novel antiviral agent from the plant pongamia pinnata and a process for the preparation of the said agent”. He has received funds from various funding agencies like UGC, Rashtriya Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan (RUSA), Tamilnadu State Council for Science and Technology, Govt. of Tamilnadu, Alagappa University Research Fund. He has received various National and International awards like INSA, Karoly Ereky Teaching Excellence Award, Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Award For Scientific Excellence etc.,. He has published books and book chapters in various International and National agencies. He has involved in various academic bodies of Alagappa University and other Universities. He has organized various Seminars, Conferences, workshops, webinars at Alagappa University. He has presented papers and participated in National and International events. He acted as resource persons in various capacities of various events. He has visited countries like Italy, Thailand, Japan for academic activities. He is a life member of various professional bodies.
