Pratik Ramteke, presently doing a Ph.D in the Department of Soil Science and Agricultural Chemistry, Dr. P D K V, Akola, Maharashtra. He obtained a Master’s Degree in Soil Science from Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana, Punjab, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture from the College of Agriculture, Nagpur. During Master’s, his research was based on ‘Incorporation of rice straw in the soil as an alternative to straw burning in Indian Punjab’. Presently in Ph.D his research is based on assessing the ‘Carbon sequestration potential of dry land Vertisols under the influence of long-term integrated nutrient management’. He has passed exams like ICAR JRF-2017 (Overall 36th rank), ASRB NET (3 times), and MCAER-Ph.D CET - 2019 (Overall Merit 1st rank). He has published several research papers, review papers, popular articles, book chapters in various national and international journals and magazines. During a Master’s, his presentation has been adjudged 2nd in ‘All India Post Graduate Research Convention in Soil Science”. He has been conferred with ‘Best Article Composer Award’ by Krishiscience magazine.He has attended various national, international, and state - level seminars / conferences. His research interest areas are soil physics, soil fertility, and nutrient management.
