Debanjan Mitra is a research scholar at Department of Microbiology, Raiganj University, India, under the supervision of Dr. P. K. Das Mohapatra. He completed his M.Sc. in Biotechnology from The University of Burdwan. He is currently working on bioinformatics. His research interest has widely spread in the field of structural biology, proteomics, molecular docking, molecular modelling, molecular dynamics simulations, quantum mechanics, immunoinformatics, cheminformatics and programming language. In structural biology, he has set an impeccable example with evidence of cyclic salt bridge. He was the first to identify the long network aromatic-aromatic interactions. However, many of his published research are focused on intra-protein interactions.During the Covid - 19 pandemic, he had published many articles on SARS-CoV-2. He also published many articles on computational drug discovery.He has more than 21 research publications as journal articles and 10 book chapters. He served as reviewer in many reputed international journals. In 2020, he received Young Researcher Award. In 2021, he also received Asian Education Award. He has also received 2 other international and 2 national awards. He is currently a member of many science societies. He had participated in many international conferences and workshops.
