Dr. Brati Acharya is currently working as an Assistant Professor in School of Agriculture, Swami Vivekananda University, Barrackpore, North-24-Paraganas, West Bengal. She completed her Graduation in Horticulture from Bidhan Chandra Krishi Viswavidyalaya in 2015. She received the prestigious GOLD MEDAL Award for securing the highest position during graduation. She completed her Master degree in the Department of Vegetable Science, Faculty of Horticulture from Bidhan Chandra Krishi Viswavidyalaya in 2017. During her M.Sc programme she also received the GOLD MEDAL award for securing the highest position. She accomplished her Doctoral Degree Programme in the Department of Vegetable Science from the same University in 2021. During her Ph.D programme she was associated as both Junior and Senior Research Fellow in the project entitled "Nuclear Intervened Molecular Breeding and In-vitro culture for increasing yield and phyto-medicine production in Bitter Gourd" governed by DAE-BRNS, Bhaba Atomic Research Centre (BARC), Govt. of India. Her research field is associated with the breeding programme of the crop Tomato. She has written 10 research articles, 2 book chapters and 9 popular articles. She has attended many National and International seminars and symposium and also secured 1st position in two National seminar, 2nd position in one National symposium and 3rd position in one National symposium.
