Abstract:
This chapter aims to explore how the New Education Policy - 2020, will affect Media Education in the country, keeping in mind the current industry and academic trends. The chapter also aims to highlight and bring to notice some of the challenges that the media industry and faculty might encounter in the process of implementation of the New Education Policy. The researcher takes into account various factors including MOOCs and Industry exposure. The chapter also within itself maps the journey of Media Education in India and developments in the recent 100 years.The chapter uses Content Analysis as a method to analyze the National Education Policy and exploratory research design is used.
